MJLM Monday - 7/02/12

My very first MJLM post!!  Eeek!  I'm excited!  :o)

Did y'all have a good weekend?  Hope so.  Can't wait to hear your MJLM's!  

Wanna hear about a few of the ways that Jesus showed his love to me last week?

There were waaaay too many to list them all, but here are some of my favorites.

*He gave me  a beautiful day to get out and exercise on my lunch break, but provided  brief cloud cover to shield me from the 100 degree-temperature-causing sun we have here in South Louisiana.

*He let me receive some kind words from some clients when they found out I would be leaving in a few weeks.  I always try to be nice, cheerful and helpful to my clients.  I don't expect anything in return because it is my job, but it's nice to hear sometimes.  :o)

*He lets this tree (not even sure what it is) bloom right over my parking space at work.  What I love about it, is that the blooms fall and on a good day my car resembles a float at the Rose Bowl Parade.  It cracks me up when I drive away and they are slowly flying off my car.  :o)

*He let me tour the World War II museum (for free) this weekend.  I anticipated being a little bored (I'm not a big history buff), but was enjoying the company.  Then we watched the 4-D movie "Beyond all Boundaries".  It was incredible!  I walked out of the theater being so very proud to be an American and so thankful for all who have fought and are fighting for our freedom!

*He spoke directly to my heart thru some great preaching yesterday.  He truly cares!
*Starbucks' Cookie Crumble Frappucino.  Enough said.  :o)

Yes, I know today is not Monday...humor me.  :o)

Yes.

My Jesus Loves Me!!

I've had it on my heart since I've gotten back to blogging, that I wanted to start a weekly link-up.

I wanted it to be something happy.

Knowing my Jesus loves me makes me happy.

How do I know He loves me?

Well, it clearly states it in the Bible.

John 3:16 says:

"For God so loved the world...".

On the cross, Jesus proclaimed the greatest act of love E.V.E.R.

 

There are many other verses that proclaim the love of Jesus towards us also.

One of my favorites is Psalms 103:2

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."

On a daily basis, I think there are many ways that Jesus shows his love for us.

I want to use this as a way to help me (and you guys) to stop and notice the smaller, (unintentionally) over-looked ways.

It could be:

• Something nice someone did for you.
• Kind words that made you smile.
• Your boss letting you go home a few minutes early.
• Turning on the car to find your favorite song on the radio.
•  A "for no reason" hug from someone you love.
• A beautiful flower growing in an odd place.
• A few quiet moments to yourself.
• A nice person letting you merge in traffic.

Just anything really that makes you feel like Jesus just gave you a hug and whispered "I love you!".

Give a list of a few things, tell a story about a particular one, post pictures to go along, if you like.

What a great way to start off a new week, by reminding ourselves of all the little ways we have been loved by Jesus the past week.
