InstaFriday: Dusty Fedora

July is here....man, he came fast.  Can you believe that we are already into the 2nd half of 2012?!  Yikes!

It was a busy, but good week!
On Saturday, me, D and some great friends went to the World War II Museum here in NOLA.
Sunday was church.
Worked, then cleaned the house on Monday.
Worked, then dinner with my D & JD (Toots was with her Dad) on Tuesday.
Family BBQ and church on Wednesday.  (Happy Birthday, America!)
Worked, then relaxed, did nails and watched a movie with my Toots.  We watched Avalon High.  I had never heard of it, so I was unsure as to whether it was something I would let my 10 yr old watch.  Well, in true "Toots" fashion, to help her arguement for me to let her watch it, she says "But Mom...it's educational!  It's IS about a school."  lol   (She cracks me up...and I let her watch it.)  It wasn't bad.

Here's what it looked like as interpreted by InstaGram:

Dusted off the ole Fedora from last Summer.

Reese's ice cream.  Heavenly!

My pretty baby!

Me and D at the WWII Museum.

Me and Sister #3 at the Museum.

Summer salad inspired by Pinterest.  It is sooo yum!

Dinner w/ my boys at Zea's.  Thai ribs, corn grits and sweet potatoes.  Ah-mazing!

Tried something different w/ my nails.

Got a busy weekend ahead.  We're celebrating the 2nd birthday of my #2 niece.  When I ask her what she wants Aunt Lissa to buy her for her birthday, all she says is "Cupcakes!".
She's kinda obsessed...and I love her all the more for it.  :)

Don't forget to come back for MJLM Monday!
Grab a button, Link back to me and share your link on our Facebook page.
If you don't have a blog, just stop by the Facebook page and write a couple of MJLM's on our wall.

 Have a great weekend!

  1. Lissa.. about a billion things just made me really excited while reading this post. First of all I see we have a common love of Jesus, nail polish, and good food. Secondly, do you live in NOLA???? Because I am moving there in 3 weeks!

  3. Aren't kids so funny with how they can manage to make something educational? "It's educational." "I mean, it's about school." "Well, they have a school in it." "Okay, they are school aged." Sounds like my kids. :)
