Stripes and Flowers and Polka Dots...oh my!

Today I am linking up with Lindsey over at The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday.

Here is what I wore to church on Sunday:
The sun was super bright, so pardon the scrunchy face.
Shirt - thrifted
Skirt (is a dress) - hand me down
Belt - thrifted
Tights - Burke's Outlet
Shoes - thirfted

There is a whole lot going on in this outfit and I LOVED it!!
The shirt is a little too big, I know.  The skirt is actually a halter top dress w/ the top tucked down inside.
This was my first time wearing tights/pantyhose in at least 5 yrs.  It was a little weird but I survived.  ;o)

There is a verse on the October page of my calendar and it has stuck with me this week.
Thought I would share it with you guys.  :o)

"Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually."
I Chronicles 16:11

How is your week going?  What are you looking forward to the rest of this week?

We have church tonight.  Mid-week church is always so refreshing!  I am visiting with my grandparents on Thursday evening and my grandpa always whips up something delicious in the kitchen.  Yay!

  1. I love our Wednesday service. It's at my house! =) We started renting a new building and it's not available on Wednesdays (plus would cost more) and since we only have 25 - 30 on Wed. we just do prayer meeting and Bible study at my house. I love it 'cause we often have coffee and a treat afterward for some extra fellowship. Enjoy your week. =)

My week is looking better than it started out, so I am good. Have fun at grandpa's. I love going to my grandma's house. She always whips up something good too! Heather

  3. your outfit is very vibrant and sassy on you. It's a good way to wear the halter neck dress, so versatile. And the tights look great with the outfit, I need to try these fancy tights. I lIke your hair too, how the front falls to one side, very chic.

Thanks for the verse, I need to do that daily. And thank you for all your encouraging comments. Have a blessed weekend!

  4. I love those green stripes and the bright flowers. And the hose... girl, you're really branching out! I love 'em! =)

Midweek church is usually so refreshing to me too, but something was going on last night and both of the kids were in melt down mode afterwards. I think "someone" was trying to get me to quit Wednesday night church, but I ain't gonna! ;)
